The OPA (Ontario Power Authority) has released the FIT (Feed-in-Tariff) and MicroFIT Programs to promote individual production of renewable resources in Ontario. These programs are incentives for residents and businesses of Ontario to get paid for the renewable energy that your home and/or business produces.
The concept of ‘Distributed Generation’ is that if Ontario’s power grid has more generation disbursed throughout the grid, less energy will have to be produced at the source. Therefore by you having a renewable resource, the OPA will not need to produce as much capacity, thus paying you for your contribution through the incentive program.
The Feed-In-Tariff has been implemented in Ontario for the creation of industry and jobs as well as renewable power. Thus Provincial content restrictions have been placed on the program. Pure Luminescence Inc. using Ontario manufactured panels has our customers completely covered.
The program is designed so that projects of any size can receive a substantial ROI (Return on Investment) as well as a favorable system payback period. There has never been a better time financially to produce a renewable resource.
